Kerria Seabrooke

Kerria Seabrooke is a writer, artist, and multimedia storyteller whose work is inspired by history, folklore, and mysteries from around the world. She is a pioneer of Machinima animation, and her work can be seen on television and in films, including CBS's CSI: NY and TLC's What Not to Wear. She was the voice of Daisy in MTV’s Life in the Virtual Hills, and her short film, Tiny Nation, was screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival.

She has been published in REAL: Regarding Arts and Letters, Salt & Mirrors & Cats Zine, WW II History Magazine, and The World Almanac.

 

Kerria co-wrote and designed the puppets for a show in the Henson International Festival of Puppet Theater, with John Henson. Her puppet designs were featured on the Make Your Own HBO Augmented Reality Experience. Her commedia dell'arte masks have been featured in theater productions, and her mask-making technique was showcased in The World Almanac for Kids.

She has presented and produced podcasts and audio drama episodes on folklore. With her partner and husband, Paul Jannicola, she wrote the mystery series for Anthony Zuiker’s CSI Experience for virtual worlds and TV. She wrote and produced two award-winning web series. Paul and Kerria are recording their third show together, The Folk-ish Podcast, which will be launching in July.

After graduating from Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University, she served three years on the Advisory Board for Full Sail University’s Media Design & Technology Master of Science program. She currently writes, sculpts masks, and curates content on her Twitter/X accounts @kerria and @BookChatWeekly.  She also hosts the daily #BookChatWeekly event for the Book, Fairytale, Myth, and folklore communities, as well as the weekly #BookologyThursday event.
