Known as the Land of Eternal Youth, time stands still on this Irish island of paradise. It is said that a a few years spent there equals several centuries. One can journey to the magical Irish island of Tír na nÓg by many paths—through ancient misty burial mounds and caves, over and under the sea, in an enchanted boat, or on Manannán's mythical horse. The land is inhabited by the eternally youthful faeries called Tuatha de Danann who are enchanting, though not to be trusted. Though the island is filled with magic and wonders, once there, one can never leave. As soon as a person steps off the island they quickly age and die, as poor Oisin of Celtic mythology, learned the hard way.
