Leap year was ne'er a good sheep year.

~old Scottish saying

In Iceland, when you dream about white sheep, it means it will soon be snowing. In Scotland, it is said that if sheep lay peacefully in the pastures, it is a sign of good weather, but if sheep pace about and bleat, it is a sign of a storm coming.

In many cultures, sheep are considered lucky, and it is regarded as a good sign to come across a flock of sheep on the road, particularly if they must wind their way through the sheep to find their path again.
